I understand and agree, but request clarification on one point. Several of us have expressed support for Ron Paul and have posted things in his favor as a presidential candidate. Is this considered political campaigning and is that now prohibited?

I guess I find it hard to understand what makes some people tick. I''ve been around quite a while and for the life of me I can''t see why anyone would want to come on a site like this and make personal attacks to the owner, knowing or should knowing full well thatt the verbage they spew will not be taken seriously.

I''m like some of the others on this board. I don''t listen to the Eric VonWade show all the time, because I don''t listen to the radio that much. I don''t agree with him all the time and disagree on some issues. So, I don''t think I''m ""sucking up"" to him. I just enjoy coming to this site and reading the comments, making some and getting different perspectives. I agree, that every one should respect the rules. If not, find another place to vent.

I''ve been on here a while...all the way back to the days when it was just Randall, Mark, Curmudgeon, Curtis Rock and a few oldies that pop in now and then.

This has always been a friendly site for the exchange of information and even a gathering place for friends. We have been through a lot together including the loss of a respected and well liked member member...Blindbob, and were even their to provide comfort to his beloved when the time came.

Many of us have met and, even through heated exchange and vast differences in Political, Economic and Social beliefs...we have remainded a solid force.

I agree to the terms...it is Eric''s house and we are, from the oldest THREADSTER to the newest lurker, guests here. We should act accordingly.

The 1st Amendment carries a lot of spirit here, but never forget that that applies only to the FEDERAL government in that ""Congress shall make no law"" to the contrary. When you come here your contract is with Mr. Von Wade.

If one likes that not...then they can leave back to whence they came.

Eric has been very generous and allows everyone to say what they want within reason. He''s had the same rules forever now. It''s a shame some new people join on this site who don''t even deserve their handles to be mentioned ruin the experience. I''m assuming they''ve been removed and it''s for the better.

Running a message board can be a thankless pain in the butt. Especially for someone with your visibility.

There is a fine line between free speech and yelling ""fire"" in a theater.

I had a weekly radio show in Las Vegas as well as maintaining a message board. I had a couple of guys whose posts on my board nearly cost me my job. It didn''t matter how many disclaimers I used. I finally gave it up.

Eric, I read and understand. If I am the offending party, please I would appreciate a personal e-mail. No intent here to offend people, but, we do talk politics here, as I understand it, and politics are real and do affect real life. No intent but a healthy debate inteded. :)
